September 11th, 2003:
Everything worked out and I've got the brakes now. I guess the next update will
be when they're actually on the car. Here's the pics I took yesterday.

After waiting over 4 months, it looks like I'm finally going to get my hands on
the brake kit I ordered at the end of April! It's sitting at the shop and I should
be picking it up tomorrow. Here's some pics they sent me.

We had a really good time at the JCO Bash yesterday at Toronto Motorsports Park.
We won 3rd place in our class (3rd Gen Coupe: Custom Mild) and won Best Interior
for the whole show. This is something I've wanted for years now since starting to
work on the car. Finally all the work that's been done on the interior has been
rewarded!

Here's some pictures I took last week to finish off a roll of film. I've since painted
the grill in the hood scoop black so you'll see that in the next set of pics. Here
you can see the custom license plate bracket welded by my step-brother.

This is a picture taken at my sister's place a couple weeks ago. It's the first
outdoor pic in a while so I thought I'd post it up. There's already a few subtle
differences from here though. Things are always evolving.
March 28th, 2003:
Here's the pics from last weekend showing the car in its currently finished state.
The Talon in the last picture is the car that beat us in the show.

There's been a whole lot going on these past couple of months and it all came together
last weekend where Michelle and I took Runner-Up in the (Domestic) Compact class
at Speedorama London at the Western Fair in London, Ontario. The champion was a
well known and absolutely incredible Eagle Talon with more mods than you could shake
a stick at so the real competition was for 2nd place. Props go to Keith Losier for
building a car nobody would ever want to compete with.
Leading up to the show, we've been really busy with the car. A few weeks back we
travelled to Endicott, NY to visit with friends and spend a whole day installing
Ground Control coilovers on the WM3. It was a lot of work and most of it was done
by Guru and the rest of the Precizion crew. I can't thank everyone enough for their
help. Here are some pictures from that install. I'll have pictures from Speedorama
in a few days.

January 27th, 2003:
This past weekend Michelle and I entered the Speedorama show at the National Trade
Center in Toronto. We spent 6 hours detailing the car on Thursday, starting in -17
degree weather with the water freezing as soon as it hit the car. It all paid off
in the end though as we won the best in class award for 99-Present Sport Compact
Domestics. We were definitely somewhat lucky in the classification as there were
some real knock-outs in the 96-98 and 95 and older Sport Compact Domestic classes.
Even so, I'm quite proud and certainly couldn't have done it without Michelle. She's
helped me with the detailing in every show I've won any award at and I've never
won at one where she didn't. I think that might be telling me something. :)
There's not much new to see but I've finally got some better lit pics of the wing
and I installed new MOMO Grand Prix pedals just a couple weeks ago. They match the
interior much better than the worn ladybug-looking ones I had in there before.
Unfortunately, digital cameras don't take very good pics indoors. Actually, I probably
just don't know how to set it up right but either way, when the weather gets nice
again I'll do a decent photo shoot under the sun.
My full gallery of pics from the show can be found
here.
November 8th, 2002:
There's been all sorts of talk about taking the dash apart these past few days on
j-body.org and I realized that I never posted the pics from when I painted my interior
pieces. There's not much, but here's a few pics from a year ago when I was taking
the dash apart. In these pics, I was actually hunting down the wire which controlled
the trunk release. I found it.
Be sure to note how ugly the tan roof was.
October 30th, 2002:
Last night, with big help from Ken, I finally installed the steering wheel that
I've been working on making for ages! I'm really proud of this one as it wasn't
nearly as simple as it appears and I ran into plenty of hassles along the way.
October 7th, 2002:
Last Thursday I got the RK Sport wing installed with help from Michelle, Bruce,
and Jessica. Fun stuff! I felt like Nigma, drilling holes all over the place.
These pics are pretty bad but they're all I've got right now.
September 26th, 2002:
Tonight was just a nightmare at my dealership. It's all being taken care of but
things just seemed to go wrong one after another after another! I won't go into
details as it's all being taken care of admirably, but I believe that the car will
officially now be more covered in new paint than factory paint. I think I just crossed
that line.
For some reason I thought I didn't have any pics of the brakelight on the new car
but I just checked and they're down there, posted May 2nd. Ah well. Here's a couple
more.
It's worth noting that I made this myself with a stencil I made and layers of primer and black paint.
I've seen this pic stolen and used by a company that makes some vinyl stickers or something so if you come
across it, just know that they're a fraud and likely just selling garbage.
